The cultivation of olives and the olive oil production have been enjoying a long historic tradition in Majorca and the olive tree is one of the most ancient plants of the island. The olive oil produced in Majorca was not only appreciated since immemorial time by the islanders as a valuable food, also it was one of the most important historic trade goods of the island.
Nature has formed in Majorca for centuries the trunks of olive trees and they become true works of art, unique in the world. The Majorcan people have managed to keep this beautiful natural and cultural heritage. A most charming atmosphere, combining nature and humans, flora and fauna, invites visitors to enjoy a contemplative silence.
The tour begins when we pick you up in the morning or afternoon at your hotel, your Finca or boat.
We drive through the stunningly beautiful countryside of Majorca to visit one of our partner oilve farms.
Over serpentine's and past picturesque villages, the journey itself is an experience for you.
On arriving at the olive farm, you get a tour of the plantation. Learn about the production process - such as olive oil is made and taste the finest olive oils. (We won’t see any milling as this takes place in winter month and mills are separate entities from producers. In fact mills just provide an extraction service, and we’ll explain all about this on the day).
After we make our way to the next destination - one of our partner wineries.
This winery is one of the beautiest Boutique Wineries of this Island.
Here we visit the entire Bodega - go into the vineyard, and get information about the wine-growing on Majorca. Afterwards we have a tour trough the wine cellar, where we get explanation about the production and maturation. A tasting of the wines produced here completes our visit to this winery.
At the end of an exhausting day, we take you with wonderful impressions you have gathered on this tour back to your hotel, your Finca or boat.
